How to cross-post to LinkedIn and X automatically
LinkedIn and X reward different things. Here is how to cross-post between them without sounding lazy.
Cross-posting between LinkedIn and X is the most common move for founders, operators, and B2B marketers. It is also the easiest to do badly. Pasting the same text into both platforms is a tell that you do not respect either audience. Here is how to do it automatically without that problem.
Why one post does not work on both
- LinkedIn rewards length, structure, and hooks. X rewards concision and personality.
- LinkedIn formatting wants line breaks. X formatting wants threads.
- Hashtags and mentions behave differently in each network.
The right way to automate it
The trick is to keep one source of truth (the idea) and let an agent generate platform-specific drafts. AgentReacher does this by default. You write the idea once, and the agent ships a long-form LinkedIn version and a short X thread, scheduled to each platform's peak window.
Setting it up in AgentReacher
- Connect LinkedIn and X.
- Train the agent on past posts from each network.
- When you draft a new post, pick LinkedIn + X as the cross-post targets.
- The agent generates a LinkedIn version and an X thread version.
- Approve both. Each schedules into its own peak window.
From your AI assistant
If you use Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor, you can drive the same flow through MCP. 'Cross-post the new feature launch to LinkedIn and X.' The agent does the rest. See the MCP overview or the cross-posting feature page.
